The weather was bright and sunny for most of the day and lots of anglers at least caught the sun! Quite a few different species appeared on the scales, including a Gilthead Bream weighing 5 Lbs 0 1/2
ozs. This species is not in the BDAC Specimen List so 75% of the British Shore Rescord
was used giving it a rating of 64.854%, which, unfortunately placed it
beneath the other fish in the competition. It was a splendid fish
though and, for most people, it was the first one they had ever seen. Andy Clements caught a nice sized Thornback and it was good to see something other than Dogs being weighed in. Thomas Downing's Wrasse was a very dark green. How deep was he fishing I wonder?
In total 14 people weighed in 19 fish:-

1
Ballan Wrasse
2
Lesser Spotted Dogfish
