• The Sea Section is one of the largest sea fishing clubs in the country.

• A May Festival is held over the bank holiday.
• This year it has been re-scheduled to be held over the August Bank Holiday.
• From Friday evening to Sunday evening.
• The Winter Best Brace competition.
• Runs from October to April.
• Entry fee £5.
• The Summer Best Brace competition.
• Runs from April to October
• Entry fee £5.
  
• Club specimens can be weighed in at the club every night.
• The main cup fished for is the Valentines Trophy.
• Competitions run on first Sunday of the month.
• Points are awarded in monthly competitions.
