Report
What a lovely hot day it was!
The fish, however, had other things on their mind. The reservoir seemed
completely devoid of fish in the end where I fished!
Colin and I sat on the dam(n) wall all day and only had one bite
between us.
Even those that caught fish, down the other end, had long blank periods.

Melbury looking lovely. ZZ
Early Morning in the Carpark.
Z A suspicious carp angler leaves the scene as the serious fishermen arrive.
Z Spectators arrive for the Weigh-in.
Z Kevin Wilton getting ready for the Weigh-in.
Z Kevin's fine bag of silvers set the pace.
Z No. 2 to weigh in ~ Thomas Downing ~ a staggering bag of Hybrid's (Roach/Bream).
Z Paul Downing gave out a huge cheer with 1 hour to go ..... We all thought he had caught a carp......... But No.......... It was his FIRST bite ! ! ! !
Z Andy Gray's superb net of silvers.
Z Proud of his catch ~ John Lisle. The hotly fancied peg again failed to produce!!
Z Dennis Chaplin struggles with his good net of fish.
Z The cunning fox, Willy, told everybody he weighed this carp at 8 Lbs. Surprise, surprise at Weigh-in it went 11 Lbs 2 ozs. What was he feeding it on?? Z Willy's "Two Pounds" of silver fish went 6 Lbs 9 ozs on the scales. Never trust a Taxi Driver!
Z Neilsen pulled out his net swearing he only had about 10 Lbs. of fish.
Z Personal scores settled ~ Thomas pays Willy the £1 he owes him
Z Neilsen scrapes into second place (as did Chelsea).
Z The "Sly old Fox" picks up a well deserved and popular 1st place.
Z "This was how it was done!!" Nobody loves a bighead.
Z
They weren't able to catch fish but John Lisle & Stuart Bailey can certainly catch the sun.
